Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) has reported that terminal passenger traffic at its 13 airports increased by 6.4% in November 2019, as compared to November 2018.

Domestic traffic increased by 6.3%, and international traffic increased by 8.0%. During November 2019, domestic traffic increased in 12 of OMA’s airports, with the largest increases in: Ciudad Juarez (+19.0%) as a result of increased traffic on the Mexico City route; Monterrey (+2.0%) benefitted from increased traffic on the Cancún and Mexico City routes; Culiacán (+6.9%), due to increased traffic on the Mexico City and Tijuana routes; Acapulco (+23.5%) due to increased traffic on the Mexico City route; and Chihuahua (+9.4%) benefitted from increased traffic on the Mexico City route.

International traffic grew in 11 OMA airports in November, with the largest increases in Monterrey (+4.8%), as a result of increases in the number of passengers on the Las Vegas route; and Durango (+105.7%), due to increased traffic on the Dallas route.
