Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport (PHX), AZ, has been named top large airport in the US by The Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper measured three critical factors for its annual Airport Rankings study – convenience, reliability and value. It examined 14 different measures within these categories, as well as surveying more than 2,500 subscribers. Phoenix ranked particularly high for its average Yelp rating for restaurants and saw a major improvement in its Wi-Fi speed, where was the second fastest among the large airports. The airport also scored well for its on-time arrivals as well as its low taxi-to-take-off times. A USD 2 billion capital investment programme is currently underway at PHX which includes the modernisation of Terminal 3.
